Over the years, BlackHawk has changed in many ways but our mission is still the same: to enhance operator efficiency, confidence, and mission completion. Just recently, BlackHawk launched an all-new cell to support our Military and Law Enforcement professionals. The Special Operations Business Development (SOBD) Cell is a team of highly trained individuals (some new to BlackHawk and some seasoned veterans with Military and LE

The last is the “form” around which the boot is constructed. It gives shape and structure and contributes significantly to the fit and comfort of the boot.

Each company uses its own last and therefore, all boots fit differently. Original Swat's last product was developed using the most modern computer-aided-design technology. This modern approach has enabled them to most accurately reflect the needs of today’s end user. Some products that are offered by older traditional manufacturers are using lasts that have not changed since the 1940’s. Since that time, the weight and foot shape of the average person have changed significantly. To provide the correct level of comfort and support, the last needs to be of a modern shape and design. Ring’ Manufacturing originated from our parent company Ring’s Studio Gun Rental Inc., which was established in 1989. Providing weapon related props and accompaniments tot the Motion Picture and Television Industries. In the mid 90’s Ring’s purchased a molding facility from the Los Angeles area and moved it to the East Coast.

Refining the craft, Ring’s has provided urethane foam stunt props to those same industries. In the late 90’s Ring’s began receiving inquiries from the Law Enforcement communities to manufacture a quality training aid. After considerable research Ring’s has crafted the most detailed and durable training weapon available in today’s market. Ring’s training weapons, known as “Firearm Simulators” or an adopted name of “Blueguns” are so exact in size and dimension that many holster, grip & laser manufacturers use them to display their own products. Peak Beam Systems, Inc. was founded in the late 1980s when Bill McManus, the founder and president of McManus Security Systems, designed and developed the original Maxa Beam searchlight. Mr. McManus realized the importance of a long-range illumination system in 1985 while working for NESEA’s “Water-side Security Evaluation” at Sub Base Bangor in Washington State. The McManus team became extremely interested in the complex problems of night imaging and perimeter security.

Mr. McManus recognized that a handheld searchlight that was both a portable illumination device and a covert infrared device could significantly aid in the surveillance and security operations that watched for otherwise undetectable terrorist attacks. As early as 1989, McManus Security Systems was busy delivering hundreds of Maxa Beam Searchlights to government customers, including the Seals, Sub-Lant, FMF-Lant, NYPD, FBI, NIS, and the British SAS.

Peak Beam Systems continues today as an innovator and manufacturer of high-tech security lighting devices for the U.S. Department of Defense, domestic security agencies, emergency response personnel and law enforcement officers.

Continuing the tradition, Jean McManus is the President of Peak Beam Systems, Inc. In a recent statement to a US Congressman, Mrs. McManus shared her view of the central purpose of her company:
